When a parent first realizes their chile is afflicted with an illness or severe medical condition such as autism, it can come as a shock. But most can adapt to their child’s condition and learn to fit the needs that child has in hopes of making their lives a little bit easier.
Then Tricia Klein, mother of three, found out there were others out there who cared about her child’s special needs as much as her, it came as a surprise.Tricia’s son Timothy was diagnosed with nonverbal autism at the early age of two. Although it may be difficult to interact with other kids his age, he still loves all the stuff most seven-year-olds love. Youtube videos, soccer, and swimming are among some of his favorite things. But unfortunately his mom has to decline his party invitations because of his condition.
But one day, a note from a mother whose son was in Timothy’s class changed that.

Timothy, was diagnosed with nonverbal autism. This diagnosis makes it hard for him to interact with others, especially in large groups. She would have to decline his classmates’ invitations to parties.
But one of the mothers, whose son is friends with Timothy, decided to send Tricia a special note that came inside the invitation.
“Carter sat beside Timothy at school and he always talks about him. I really hope he can come. We are renting a bounce castle that we can attach a small bounce slide at the bottom. We will also have water balloons and water guns. Maybe Timothy can come earlier in the day if it would too much with the whole class. Let me know so we can make it work.”
